I came to Dr.Saffersteins office a year ago with a horrible toothache that had kept me up for nights. He told me that I needed a root canal. I had heard so many horror stories about root canals that I was petrified. He did the root canal and I never felt a thing. No pain at all. When I told my friends at work this , they all wanted his phone number. Thanks to Dr. Saferstein for introducing me to "Painless Dentistry."

*******************Don Safferstein graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dentisty in 1982. After completing a year of postgraduate training at Buffalo General Hospital, Dr Safferstein returned home to his native Bronx. He entered into a partnership with Lee Kapilow in 1985 and has practiced at Fordham Hill Oval since.
Dr. Safferstein is a strong advocate of continuing dental education. He and his staff regularly attend seminars in an effort to stay up to date with the latest in dental technology. Dr. Safferstein is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association as well as several study groups. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Bronx County Dental Society.
Dr. Safferstein currently is a resident of Westchester County where he resides with his wife, three daughters and two Standard Poodles. When not in the office or with his family, Dr. Safferstein can usually be found on the running trails of Westchester. As an avid long distance runner, he has completed 15 marathons (and still counting). Dr Safferstein is active in many charitable community activities and enjoys sports, music, politics and reading.
